Rushden Temperance Band - 1951.

A 'rose-tinted' view of 'The Temps' in 1951. Note all the family connections, particularly 'Denton' and 'Abbott' from the 1904 photograph.

The Personnel was:

  • J. Scholes, C. Denton, G. Sayer (Solo Euphonium), F. Perkins (Bandmaster), Coun. W.E. Capon (President), W.A. Scholes (Conductor), H. Seamarks, F. Abbott, J. Sugars (Treasurer).

Plenty of 'hardware' on show here, just 4 years after W.A. Scholes took over the band.
