Midlands 'Area' Contest - 4th Section - 14th March 2004.

*'....and the winners, with 178 points (things getting a little tense here!) - receiving the People Challenge Tribute Cup (more tension!), £200 AND the Regional Champions Banner (GET ON WITH IT!)....

(Cue much applause and cheering - from us anyway!!!)

Unless you've actually won an 'Area' Contest you will have NO IDEA of the elation and jubilation felt by the winners and the utter dejection and disappointment felt by the losers - especially if you felt your band played well. The above quote  (*) is the formal announcement of the winners and only goes to increase the butterflies and anticipation.

Anyway - WE WON, here are the photographs clearly showing OUR elation and jubilation!!

Some of us had clearly gone to the pub (including the M.D. - who couldn't even face hearing the results!). Those who remained are:

• Standing: Eddie, Sue, Brian, Becky, Rebecca, Kevin, Roger, Mark, John, Alan and Dave (nice coat!)
• Kneeling: Jane (huge smile!), Ian, Sarah and Martin.

Here we are having a quiet, genteel celebratory drink!! - and look even the M.D. has turned up!..and Jane is STILL smiling.
