Rushden Windmill Band - c. 1978.
The picture was taken in (about) 1978 in the hall at the Windmill Club - before it became the snooker hall. Sorry, but it looks a bit tacky by today's standards!!! Naturally Jane is in the picture - but not yet married to Alan...!!! Those pictured are as follows: Back Row: Paul Stevens, Barry Osborne, Mark Limbert, Giles Bailey, John Dennison. Front Row: Maggie Robinson (Betts), Jane Nichols, Ian MacDonald. Horns (L - R): David Johnson, Barry Coleman, Barry Turner. Trombones: Larry Mayer, Simon Mould, Alan Nichols. Middle Row (L - R): John Higgins, Jack Mould (Cornets), Nigel Pickford, Fiona ??? (Baritones), Caroline Sumner, Keith Quinn (Euphoniums). Basses (L - R): Graham Fruish, Alan Hicks, Darran Johnson, Peter Herbert. Percussion: Neil Veyzey, Sue Green. Conductor: Barry Johnson. Well, that seems to be a 'full house', we've identified everyone. There is one surname we'd be pleased to hear about - so if YOU know, let US know.
