Proms in the Park is now in it's third year and once again proved very popular with the audience who were on their feet in excitement long before the last number!!!
The mayor summed it up stating that everyone had been praying all day for some good weather and after a few scary moments during the day when it looked like rain, somebody above was listening and it turned out to be a very warm and glorious evening, even with a Concorde flyby just for Gareth!!!!!
It did start with a few nail biting details that needed addressing, i.e the chairs were late and Marshall was concerned he would fall down a drain but these were sorted in time and in the end, all ran smoothly.
There was a great selection of music from Concert to The Shows. The electric 'Lord of the Dance' once again had the audience on the edge of their seats especialy at the 'Jig' routine given by John Fletcher!!!
Below is a list of the music that was decided for the Evening

The compliments during and after the concert were great, many stated it was better than ever and will be bringing more friends next year.
A big well done to everyone for the evening which was truly great fun and bring on Proms 2012.
